Systems and Projects Manager

As a Systems & Projects Manager, you will lead and manage the implementation of test-bed solutions with industry partners

  • Support in the delivery of external / project partner test-bed solutions
  • Manage project implementation of project partner test-bed solutions to ensure projects being delivered on time and meet requirements
  • Participate in project discussions and requirement gathering with project partners and researchers
  • Collaborate with researchers on technologies and research outcomes to be deployed for partner test-bed, and support the design, development, integration and implementation of test-bed systems, and test solutions with project partners, ensuring that test-bed solutions meet the required performance benchmark
  • Lead project partner system integration and set deployment standards on research system platform for the delivery of test-bed solutions
  • Manage project partner data ensuring usability and security
  • Deliver and maintain partner project (including data & integration) documentation, and ensure all documentation being up-to-date

Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma or BSc in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years work experience with at least 2 years in leading and managing system implementation 

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

  • Programming in Java, .NET and scripting languages (Python, R and etc.)
  • Familiar with database design & management (MS SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Web Application and Web API Development (J2EE, Apache, Tomcat)
  • Experience with applied research projects an added advantage
  • Experience with server and data management an added advantage
  • Basic knowledge in mobile development
  • Project management skills
  • Self-motivated, with good planning and organization skills
  • Able to multi-task and carry out tasks independently
